Siso hurried back to the big rock, his paws moving faster with every step.
When he reached it, his eyes widened.
The key was gone.
He looked closely at the rock, then all around it.
He searched the grass, peeked behind the stones, and even looked under a leaf.
But the key had completely disappeared.
Siso paused and thought.
Maybe the secret door was never meant to be opened.
Or maybe the owner of the key had already come back to find it.
With that thought, Siso took a deep breath and continued walking to FeeFee’s house, ready to tell her all about his strange and wonderful day.
